So many of the grannies we are supporting are left to bring up their grandchildren, and in most cases without support. The very difficult circumstances which led them into the Elderly Care Program have made it almost, if not impossible for them to educate the grandchildren left in their care.
We know, to break the cycle of poverty that has bound them for so long cannot be broken without opportunities.
The very best thing we can do for these families is to give student sponsorship, for without this that cycle may never be broken!

Student Sponsorship
Through our student sponsorship program we aim to give hope for a better future for the grandchildren of the grannies who we support. We not only want to support them with education, we want to get them involved in their community by offering incentives, and to reinforce the importance of helping others. Our sponsored high school students visit the elderly in their area to assist with any errands or help they may need. We also get them involved in other community activities. We feel this is an important part of their growth, not only in maturity and confidence, but in creating a more inclusive community spirit.

Through education humanity can rise above obstacles and achieve dreams and goals.
Kanha is 14 years old and in grade six and lives with her parents and younger sibling in rural Siem Reap. Her parents are farmers and struggle to care for the family. Kanha dreams to become a teacher but will not be able to achieve this without sponsorship support.
Danin is 10 years old and lives with her granny who is in our Elderly Care Program. She is in grade 4 but struggles to get to school regularly. Her parents have moved away leaving granny to support her. Your sponsorship will help her granny educate her and get her to school on a regular basis.
